Costs in the Event of Illness

You can be reimbursed, in some cases, for substantial medical expenses exceeding your monthly co-pay limit.

High-Cost Medical Care Benefits

If registered for National Health Insurance, patients are generally required to pay 30% of actual treatment costs. Co-pay expenses are determined by income level. This means that if treatment costs for a given month exceed your co-pay, you will be reimbursed. Please note that you must submit the necessary official documentation to receive these services.

  • You must apply
  • You need to pay the full amount of the co-payment when you leave the hospital. Reimbursement will be issued after the necessary official documentation has been submitted.
  • Please inquire at your local municipal/ward office for further details.

  •  ID (driver’s license, passport, residence card, etc.)
  • My Number Card
  • Health Insurance Card
  • Receipt from hospital
  • Bank Account Book

Co-payment Limit Application

If you complete this application in advance, the amount over the co-pay limit is not charged at the hospital. Please ask your local municipal/ward office for details.
