On-Campus Gym & Sports Facilities

The Sports Training Center

The Sports Training Center is available for use by all students and faculty of Hokkaido University.
(Tartan track, 1 lap: 81.54m, various training machines installed)

Opening Hours:
Weekdays: 7:00 AM – 10:00 PM
Saturday, Sunday, and Public Holidays: 9:00 AM – 10:00 PM

*Opening hours include the time for entry to departure, including preparation and cleanup.

Closed Days: Year-end and New Year holidays (12/28 to 1/4), regular inspection days, regular cleaning days, etc.

When using the facility, please fill out the “Usage Form” located inside the entrance. Please bring appropriate attire, indoor sports shoes, towels, etc., for exercise.

Guidelines for use:

  1. Follow the instructions of the facility manager, pay attention to safety, and use the facilities appropriately.
  2. Handle each facility according to its instructions; do not use or lend for purposes other than the originally intended purpose.
  3. Do not move, alter, or establish new facilities, equipment, or fixtures.
  4. After use, promptly return the equipment to its designated place.
  5. Entry for individuals other than physical education students is prohibited during regular class hours.
  6. No outdoor shoes are allowed; please wear indoor sports shoes when engaging in training.
  7. Use the changing rooms for changing clothes and storing personal belongings.
  8. You are responsible for keeping track of your own valuables, please use the provided “Valuables Lockers.”
  9. Do not leave clothing or belongings in the gymnasium, changing rooms, shower rooms, or shoe racks.
  10. Playing music and using the facility for purposes other than training are prohibited.
